HOFBRÄUHAUS MÜNCHEN
CORPORATE DESIGN
Since 2020, Coletta has been responsible for designing a variety of printed materials for the exterior areas of the Hofbräuhaus and the homepage. My work focuses on translating the richness of its tradition into a contemporary visual language that respects its heritage while remaining inviting and accessible to an international audience. The design approach brings together historical references, recognizable symbols, and a clear, structured aesthetic to strengthen the brand’s presence in public space. Each piece is created with the intention of supporting orientation, communication, and atmosphere, while staying true to the authenticity that makes the Hofbräuhaus so special.
Web projects are developed in collaboration with trusted technical partners who are responsible for the programming and implementation, ensuring that the design concept is translated into a reliable and functional digital experience.
The Hofbräuhaus, often described as the most famous beer hall in the world, has stood at the heart of Munich for centuries. For the people of Munich, it is far more than a historic building — it is a living part of the city’s identity and a place deeply rooted in local tradition. At the same time, it has become an international symbol of Bavarian culture, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to experience its unique atmosphere, hospitality, and history. Generations of guests have passed through its halls, making it a meeting place where local heritage and global curiosity come together. An essential companion to the Hofbräuhaus’ story is the beloved figure of the Engel Aloisius, created by Bavarian writer Ludwig Thoma. This iconic character, known for his humor and connection to Munich’s cultural spirit, remains an integral part of the visual and narrative world surrounding the Hofbräuhaus and continues to represent its distinctive charm.
