Where material, individuality and true uniqueness come into play, a particular kind of value emerges. I believe that things which cannot simply be reproduced are becoming increasingly meaningful.

The project with master goldsmith Alessandra Piazza is a beautiful example. Her work evolves from centuries-old Murano glass fragments found on the shores of Venice, and from a deeply personal approach to material, colour and form.

For Bureau Coletta, it was particularly exciting to translate this craftsmanship into a contemporary visual narrative. For the lookbook, we developed the concept, editorial direction and art direction. Interviews and research formed the foundation for a publication that presents Alessandra’s work not by jewellery type, but through the colours and unique qualities of Murano glass.

In doing so, we consciously connect craftsmanship with the possibilities of contemporary design. Editorial design, interviews, film and carefully applied AI come together – not as a substitute for craftsmanship, but as tools to tell its story in new and more immediate ways.

This is precisely the intersection that interests me: preserving what is unique while finding new ways to make it visible, relevant and tangible.
